Amazon FBA Profit Calculator

Amazon FBA profit is decided by four numbers: what the customer pays, the referral fee, the fulfillment fee Amazon charges to pick and pack, and your product cost. Advertising usually decides whether the unit is profitable at all.

Because FBA fulfillment fees depend on size tier and weight, this calculator asks you to enter the fee Amazon quotes for your product rather than guessing. Everything else is pre-filled with the standard referral rate and can be edited.

What sellers get wrong on Amazon FBA

Amazon FBA fee calculator FAQ

How much does Amazon take per sale?

A referral fee of 15% for most categories, plus the FBA fulfillment fee for your product size tier. If you sell on a professional plan you also pay a monthly subscription, which you can amortise into the other per-order cost.

Why do I need to enter the fulfillment fee myself?

FBA fees depend on the product dimensions, weight and category, and Amazon revises them regularly. Copy the figure from the fee preview in Seller Central so the calculation matches your actual payouts.

What profit margin should I aim for on Amazon?

As a rule of thumb, aim for at least a 25-30% net margin after advertising, because returns, storage and long-term fees will eat a few points you did not plan for.

Should I include returns in the calculation?

Yes. Amazon refunds the customer, and you still pay most of the fulfillment cost. A 3% returns reserve is a conservative default for most categories.
